February 08 Pouring Petrol onto the FireI can't beleive that having watch the reaction for the last week, A french Magazine has reprinted the Mohammed Cartoon's yet again today.
I'm all for freedom of speach and I beleive that some muslims have over-reacted, but for this magazine to publish these cartoons knowing the consequences, smacks of arrogance and stupidity.
January 24 England ManagerSo Sven is leaving after the World Cup
So who is going to replace him?
Personally I dont really have a clue who would be best for the job, but would like ti to be an Englishman.
Obvious Potential Candidates: Stuart Pearce, Sam Allerdyce, Steve McClaren, Alan Curbishley.
January 21 Rupert Lowe - Time to GoIt is clear after Todays 2-0 Defeat to Ipswich and the subsequent
protest by Fans that Rupert Lowe has lost the confidence of the
Majority of Southampton Fans. It is now time for Rupert to resign as Chairman, and to do so quickly, before things get any worse for our club. January 20 Theo WalcottSo the Theo Walcott Saga has finally come to an end with him joining Arsenal.
I really don't think ther was too much that Southampton could have done, he needs to move to a bigger club to develop his undoubted talent, and had we not taken the money now, then we could have had a tribunal setting the figure much lower.
May I take this opportunity to wish him well, and every success with his future career with the Gunners. January 18 Legalising BrothelsI actually didnt realise until I read a new article yesterday, that one woman working in a house/flat on her own being paid for sex is perfectly legal under the current law.
I can understand what they are trying to do, by allowing 2 people to work together it will make the prostitute safer, but this does then mean that we are condonning prostitution.
We all want to get protitutes off the streets and make the streets safer, but is moving the problem indoors really going to solve anything?
January 16 Sex Offenders in SchoolsIs the governmen t actually listening?
It appears that for some time now, Ministers have been making decisions about individual cases and allowing some convicted sex offenders to work in our schools.
Ruth Kelly has now admitted that this policy is wrong, but rather than scrapping it has decided that these decisions will be taken by experts in the future.
WHY?
Why is anyone, be they an expert, a politician, or anyone else for that matter, making a decision allowing convicted sex offenders to work in our schools? If someone is convicted of a sexual offence, then they should be barred from working on our schools for life, and no-one should have the power to change that.
January 14 Relationships & Accountability - UpdateOur meeting has been postponned, not sure when she will next be down here, so its on hold Indefinately. |
